The sun rises above the hillcrest,
As does the joy of my heart;
Rays of warmth and love,
From her I now have to depart.

My dear Betty you have served me well,
We have always been a hit ;
We embraced & I rode you (behave),
Alas your now getting on a bit.Sorry about that.

• Rohloff Speedhub 500/14CC 14 speed 32h black.

• Swisstop Blur brake pads for XTR.

• Shimano XTR M970 V brake.

• Thorn AL7075 Straight Handlebars

All finished off in a discreet understated satin black.

Camping stuff

• Lightwave, TO Ultra Barrel Tent. In 10 ten minutes the thing is up & ready to go (unlike me)

• Mc Kinley Traveller light 800 Sleeping Bag. When rolled ends up about the size of a coke tin (well nearly)

Other stuff

• Garmin GPS 60csx. (waste of time & money) from now on maps & compasses

• Compass complicated. Where’s North ? Might use the Garmin after all

• Rather large Pen Knife. Ready for any thugs, Charles Bronson eat yer heart out

• Ortlieb bags Red. A little loud but need to be seen & a green WWF Edition saddle bag

• Book. Usually some sort of adventure book, to persuade myself that I am an adventurer

• Mobile phone.Clapped out old Siemens, but its shock & waterproof
